Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums

Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums: "Go to cPanel > File Manager, create anew directory outside public_html. Navigate into it and upload that zip file of your wordpress. Next, click that zip file and on top of page click Extract.

With the zip extracted, carefully highlight all wordpress files, right click and choose Move. Type in the path to public_html as needed to do it that way. Or, just drag the carefully selected wordpress files from the right side of File Manager into the public_html/ directory on left pane (or other directory of your choosing inside public_html)."

Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums

Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums: "In phpMyAdmin, find the NEW database you created and click it on left pane. This time click the Import tab top of page. Select your options here and point the Browse button to the database backup you generated and downloaded from that local server and Go.

That should get your database into the new cPanel server ok I would think.

Now you just need to get your wordpress directory backed up (compressed zip file would be best) and upload that zip file to the new cPanel account into a temporary work directory"

Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums

Wordpress To cPanel - cPanel Forums: "Back in cPanel, You must create a database first (cPanel > MySQL Databases). Next, associate that database with a newly created user user with password (same page). Dont use your cPanel password or username here.

Now you have the database backup and a new empty database to place it in. You might handle all of this via SSH which would be best, or, assuming this is a new site and the database small, you might import via cPanel > phpMyAdmin."

concrete5 :: Themes: "Themes are actual directories in your file system with all the presentation code needed for your outer page wrapper. Themes generally contain multiple Template files. Templates generally contain lots of HTML and CSS and just a little bit of PHP to define where the editable areas of the page area.

You can use more than one theme in a site, simply change the theme from the Design tab in Edit Mode for a page and all new pages you make below will use the new theme. You can apply a new theme to every page in your site by going to Dashboard > Pages & Themes and clicking "Activate" next to the new theme. "

concrete5 :: Themes

concrete5 :: Themes: "Typically a developer will chop their design into static HTML files with a few images and layout directories as a first step. With concrete5 the whole directory structure can be dumped wholesale into a new theme directory and quickly added to the site.

Chop your site into a working HTML directory.
For every page type in this theme, create a "my_page_type.php" template file in the directory.
In the of the template before the CSS add
Loader::element('header_required');
and right before the closing body tag add
Loader::element('footer_required');
add all JS in your theme after the footer element, and all CSS after the header element.
Within this template, make sure all stylesheets in your theme are referenced with

4 Ways to Make Money With Domains

4 Ways to Make Money With Domains: "Like most other good IM Domainers I buy with both SEO and Branding in mind, so when I look for a domain I consider the following variables:

- Keywords (for either SEO, Branding or Resale/Leasing purposes): exact match where possible.

- Extension (for Branding or Resale/Leasing purposes): I would always aim for .com domains above any other extension but I also buy .net’s, .orgs, .info’s or CCTLD’s (Country Code TLD’s like .co.uk for the UK) if I am targeting a country specific niche.

- Age of domain (SEO & Resale/Leasing Purposes): The older the domain the better. You can manually check the creation date of a domain on domaintools.com

- History of domain (for SEO & Reputation or Resale/Leasing Purposes): It’s important the domain name history is relevant to the niche you are targeting. Also make sure the domain hasn’t been involved in any kind of taboo industries like adult or gaming. You can manually check the history on Archive.org"

How to Value a Domain Name

How to Value a Domain Name: "f you are considering bidding on a domain name or you want to put your domain name up for sale, you should get an idea of how much it is worth. Keep in mind that the true value of any domain is how much a buyer will pay for it. If you have a domain for sale, you can ask a large amount of money for it, but unless you can find someone who will pay that price, that is not what the domain is worth, it’s just what you’d like to receive."
